 ang\, the governor of Ganja\, and King Giorgi II of Georgia. After the Sel
 juk Sultan Malik-Shah devastated Ganja and struck Amir Fadlun\, he appoint
 ed Sarang as governor of Ganja. Sarang was left with 48\,000 cavalry and w
 as tasked with raiding Kartli. Sarang was joined by the amirs of Dvin and 
 Dmanisi and invaded Kartli. King Giorgi II quickly gathered his army\, all
 ied himself with Aghsartan I\, King of Kakheti\, and met the enemy at Part
 skhisi\, in what is now the Tetritskaro Municipality. The Georgians defeat
 ed the enemy and drove them away. The victory at Partskhisi was of great i
