Agarani (Georgian: აგარანი), also known as Kojori Fortress or Azeuli Fortress or Kor Ogli Fortress is a Georgian feudal fortress located near Tbilisi, Kojori in Kvemo Kartli region. In historical sources it is often referred to as "Agarata Fortress", which defended the main road to Tbilisi from the south, on the way of important caravan route.
This fortress is one of the most interesting historical structures, and its location near the Algeti National Park adds to its attractiveness.The fortress is situated on a mountain peak, overlooking the gorge, which gave it strategic significance during the Middle Ages. From here, breathtaking views unfold, making it one of the main motivations for a cycling tour.
