TOUR D'ARAGATS / AROUND ARAGATS 2026

On August 22–23, the town of Aparan will host the second edition of the international cycling tournament “TOUR D'ARAGATS / AROUND ARAGATS 2026”.

The event features a 160 km road cycling race around Mount Aragats and is open to both amateur and professional cyclists. The total prize fund is AMD 3,000,000.

Competition Categories

• Amateur Men: 17–35 years old
• Amateur Men: 36–50 years old
• Amateur Men: 51+ years old
• Amateur Women: 17+ years old
• Athletes who participated in national championships during 2022–2026

Cyclists who participated in national championships before 2022 will compete in the amateur categories.

Prize Structure

• 1st place: AMD 300,000
• 2nd place: AMD 200,000
• 3rd place: AMD 100,000

Participants finishing in 4th–7th places will receive special diplomas. All other participants will receive certificates of participation.

Race Day Schedule — August 23

• 08:00: Registration in front of Aparan Municipality building
• 09:00: Start from Central Square of Aparan
• 17:00: Expected finish
• 18:00: Award ceremony

August 22 — Optional Gathering Day

• 18:00 – Participants gathering
• Campfire evening
• Concert program and DJ
• Dinner and overnight camping

Participants may also stay in guesthouses or hotels at their own expense. Participation in the first day’s activities is optional.

Catering and Support

Organizers will provide:

• Dinner
• Breakfast
• Water and fruits during the race
• Post-race meal

Additional Information

• E-bike riders may participate in a non-competitive format as tour participants.
• Transportation from Yerevan will depart at 16:00 from Republic Square by sprinter vans.
• Bicycles will be transported using Federation trailers.
• Participants may also travel by private vehicles.
• Participation fee: AMD 10,000

International cycling tourists are welcome to include this event in their travel plans, combining sport with active recreation.

The project is founded by the Cyclists’ Federation, with the support of the Aparan Municipality.
