The Battle of Ksani (1625) was a battle between Georgian forces and the Persian army led by Giorgi Saakadze. Despite the defeat in the Battle of Marabda, the Georgians did not stop resisting. Giorgi Saakadze switched to partisan warfare with smaller units. The fierce battle lasted for three days. Shah-Bende’s forces were completely destroyed, the commander himself was killed, and his retinue was wiped out. Khosro-Mirza managed to break through the encirclement and reach Tbilisi with a small detachment. The Georgians captured a large amount of weapons and prisoners.
